Sneak A Peek Inside The New Urban Decay Store

When we heard Urban Decay was going to be opening its very first store, we were conflicted. On one hand, there would now be an entire store devoted to Urban Decay. Hell to the yes. On the other hand, it is just one store, and it is located in Newport Beach, CA. Cue sad-trombone music for those of us who don't live in SoCal.

So, you can bet that when we got the opportunity to travel to the sunny shores of the OC — home to our favorite angsty teen TV show of the early aughts ("California, here we come..."), Lauren Conrad, and now, Urban Decay — and see the store for ourselves on its opening week, we jumped at the chance.

Located in the aptly named Fashion Island shopping mecca of Newport Beach, the store is stocked with a full array of UD products — everything the brand currently makes — plus some limited-edition goodies only available at the flagship. Add to that a killer design, charming and talented staff, and one of the most hospitable shopping environments we've ever had the pleasure of visiting, and you've got a total dream destination for any makeup junkie.

We sat down with founder Wende Zomnir on the eve of the grand opening to get the scoop on all things Urban Decay. Ahead, your first look at the flagship, the word on what's to come for UD in 2015, and the reason the bathroom just might be the most Instagrammed spot in the whole joint.
