Chelsea Handler Posts Topless Pic On Instagram In The Name Of Feminism

Chelsea Handler versus Instagram: It's on like Donkey Kong. The comedian took to the photo feed last night to share a pic of herself mimicking Vladimir Putin's famous shirtless horseback ride. Handler sits astride a horse in jeans and boots (and a helmet, because unlike Russia's president, she takes equestrian safety seriously). Like Putin, she's topless.

"Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better. #kremlin," Handler captioned the snap.

In no time at all, Instagram had removed the image. Handler posted a photo of the message she received, saying the post had been taken down because it didn't follow Instagram's community guidelines. "If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?" Handler asked in the caption.

Handler bounced back by taking her feminist message — and Instagram's censorship thereof — to Twitter. She tweeted a screenshot of the Instagram photo on her phone and said, "Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin."
