Mila Kunis Invents A “Motherhood Ring” For A Good Cause

Many of life’s important events are already marked by jewelry — graduations, engagements, and weddings all have special rings. But, Mila Kunis has dreamed up another major milestone that warrants a signature band, and she’s even designing the piece herself. As the global ambassador of locally sourced gemstone brand Gemfields, the actress and new mother has teamed up with the company on a “motherhood ring” to celebrate, you guessed it, moms everywhere.
Gemfields is one of the only jewelry retailers selling these specific rings, but Kunis points out that the gift makes perfect sense. As she told British Vogue, "Throughout history, every culture has its own way of recognizing this extraordinary event, often with a gift for mother or child. Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom, and long-lasting love.”
Kunis just celebrated the birth of her daughter, Wyatt Isabelle, but she's not after a mom gift of her own. All of the proceeds from her partnership will go toward creating a new maternity ward in Zambia, making the ring much more meaningful than many celeb-endorsed products — and more thoughtful than plenty of push presents, come to think of it.
