Over the weekend, Parker engaged in a Twitter exchange with SATC costar Kristin Davis where SJP casually wondered if Davis had "heard the news." Davis didn't respond, but a fan pressed Parker to elaborate.
"That news zooming around," Parker responded. That news being Jennifer Hudson claiming the Sex and the City 3 is in the works. Many news outlets believe SJP's tweet is confirmation, but we have no official announcement yet. Parker might have just been asking whether Davis had heard what people are talking about. Back in early March 2014, when the rumblings of a third and final Sex and the City movie began to make their rounds, Sarah Jessica Parker set the record straight with Ellen. "I've tried to make up some interesting answers every time I've been asked this question lately," she confessed. "And, the truth of the matter is, there has been no real conversation about a third movie at all."
Flash-forward to fall 2014 where Jennifer Hudson's singing a different tune. "I think it might be [happening],” Hudson told Dish Nation. “Somebody just came to me talking about that. So, if it’s in the talks, it might happen. So look for it.”
If you recall, Hudson joined the cast as Carrie's assistant, Louise, the honorary fifth member of the first film who came to New York in search of all things love. Well, she found love and rentable Louis Vuitton bags. She then disappeared, however, at the end. But, Hudson advised Dish Nation to "look for Louise from St. Louis."
Before you pour yourself a Cosmo and dust off those Manolos, know that none of this has been confirmed. This movie has been the subject of many a-speculation, with its producer Michael Patrick King hinting that there is a third and final chapter to the lives of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte. The question is whether or not that chapter should be told. (MTV)
