Amy Poehler Is Literally (A) Joy In Pixar’s New Movie

Amy Poehler is a joy. It's not scientifically proven, but it's an undisputed fact. The world knows it and now Pixar is monetizing off of it. (Note: this is a good thing.)
Inside Out is the latest blockbuster Pixar's rolling out (slated for a June 19 release date). Directed by Up's Peter Docter, Inside Out explores the inner workings of an adolescent girl's mind. Only instead of telling the story through an inner monologue, Docter imagines how the five key emotions we humans experience on a day to day basis interact: sadness, anger, disgust, fear, and joy.
Poehler plays Joy, the character she was born to play. Bill Hader joins her as Fear, and Mindy Kaling voices Disgust. Together, along with Sadness and Anger, they operate the control center inside Inside Out's protagonist's head. With Joy as their leader, they'll explore the "funny, complex, and miraculous thing" that is, according to an EW interview with Amy Poehler, the brain.
Talk about girl power. (Entertainment Weekly)
