If you're looking for dramaaaaaa (said like Derrick on Happy Endings), Liam Hemsworth's new interview with NYLON Guys isn't the place to find it. Amicable, conscious uncoupling seems to be the theme of celebrity break-ups as of late. Case in point: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin spending time together with their children, and Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult's on-and-off affability. Even Robert Pattinson and Liberty Ross don't harbor any ill will towards Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's broken engagement falls into this same pattern.
"There's not much to say; there's no bad blood there," The Hunger Games star told NYLON Guys. Hemsworth respects Cyrus' privacy so much that the previous statement is actually the only direct comment he makes about their split. He does still hold a grudge for the insane amount of paparazzi attention the high-profile relationship landed him, though.
"You never get used to it because you get followed and you get chased and it's never a fun experience. I think when people see photos of you out and about in your personal life, they assume that you've asked for it or that you want that attention, but I don't think anyone in their right mind asks for that kind of thing," Hemsworth said.
Hemsworth has moved on with his life and is much more excited to talk about the everlasting bonds he's formed with his Hunger Games costars. He even has a special nickname for Woody Harrelson, Labrador, which Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence coined because of Harrelson's tendency to fetch things when thrown. We didn't say it was the world's most inventive nickname, but it belies a sweet playfulness in their relationship.
So, apologies if you came here looking for a nasty feud between exes. It's apparently all rainbows, butterflies, and puppies in the world of Miley and Liam. (NYLON Guys)
