There are many overused phrases when talk turns to fashion, but "cowgirl chic" is not one of them. Rarely do we look to the Wild West for #OOTD inspiration — Halloween being the annual exception. But, if there's one person who could make us reevaluate where we stand on the "Home on the Range" aesthetic, it's Miranda Kerr.
Kerr stepped out on the Right Bank in a full-fledged Western ensemble, wearing a fringed Saint Laurent leather jacket straight out of your cowgirl fantasies (don't we all have them?). But, where there should've been cowgirl boots, we saw gilded Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. All the wild, wild vibes were concentrated in that perfectly cool topper.
We think this outfit coins a brand-new look: the Parisian cowgirl. The statement piece, thrown on ever-so-casually over that white button-down — accented only by the bling on her shoes and Versus belt — says "city girl" to us. And, Kerr wears it with the poise of a supermodel and the confidence of someone bringing a long-satirized aesthetic into the mainstream.
