Disclosure remixes were pumping so loudly at the Kenzo show yesterday that we almost had to plug our ears. And, the gigantic digital installations of moving cool-girl avatar heads were so bright it was somewhat difficult to stare directly into them. But, the clothes? Yeah, it was pretty easy to focus on the clothes. The models' attire followed suit with a similar tech 1.0 vibe. Pastel perforated prints (say that 10 times fast) looked like pixels, and most of the girls were outfitted with plastic Kenzo-logo-emblazoned sunglasses that would have been perfect for that bio lab you skipped back in college.

What stood out from the flashback-yet-futuristic collection, though, was the use of denim, which came in a few looks but stuck out for its color and silhouette. Oversized, light-blue wash, floor-length denim skirts were topped with tunics that zipped with an o-ring closure. At other times, it was those very tunics that were cut from the same light denim fabric. The material itself felt very '90s, but the boxy-yet-still-sexy patterns kept it fittingly within Kenzo's idea of the future. We have to say, we're looking forward to that.
