The Clooney/Alamuddin Wedding Is A Go

Got any big plans this weekend? Maybe brunch, a few drinks, and a little catch-up with your DVR? Or, have you simply set your Google alerts to "George Clooney" so you can get every up-to-the-minute update regarding his fancy nuptials in Venice? No judgment.

Things seem to be ticking along nicely on the wedding front. Clooney's bride, hotshot lawyer Amal Alamuddin, flew into Milan yesterday with her mother by her side. The beaming brunette looked low-key in ripped jeans, a tee, and unlaced brogues — though her Stella McCartney garment bag and enormous hat box suggested things will soon take a more glamorous turn.

The couple are reportedly hosting an intimate dinner for friends and family at the exclusive Hotel Cipriani on Friday. On Saturday, they will tie the knot at the Aman Canal Grande Venice Hotel. While Clooney has been rumored to be wearing an Emporio Armani tux, Alamuddin is said to be opting for an Alexander McQueen gown and a Monique Lhuillier number for the after-party.

If Amaluddin's got any wedding jitters, she's certainly not showing them. As for us, we'll have to settle for some second-rate Bellinis and an ER box set. (Daily Mail )
