In the beginning, Lorde was merely singing about never being a royal. Now, after a slew of awards, she is one. In Kanye West's eyes, however, awards are merely objects bestowed to man as a means of building false confidence. (After all, Taylor Swift may have won a VMA in 2009, but "Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.") The mark of a true royal is being welcomed by Yeezus himself.
According to Page Six, West and Lorde are slated to make some sweet tunes together. "Music industry sources say it makes sense for West and Lorde to record together," reads the report, citing West as one of Lorde's influences.
Lorde has been putting her macabre twist on West tracks like "All Of The Lights" and "Hold My Liquor" while on tour. West just wrapped his Australian leg of his tour, so new material will likely take a hiatus for rest. But, let's be real: On the proverbial third day, Yeezus will turn down for nothing. (Page Six)
