For actresses looking to make it rain, television seems like the place to be. TV Guide has just released its annual salary report, and women are very well represented.
Unlike in movies, where the pay gap between man and women is cavernous, on the smaller screen, women earn just as much — if not more — than their male counterparts. Take for instance, The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, whose $1 million per episode salary is on par with her male cast mates Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki, making them the highest paid actors on television.
Another ensemble that features equal pay for both men and women is the cast of Modern Family, where Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara make just as much as Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Eric Stonestreet. While we may not be devoted viewers of the aforementioned shows, its refreshing to see women actors getting their equal due.

The highest paid woman in a standalone role is Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay, who earns a whopping $400,000 an episode. Other leading ladies to make the list include R29 favorites Claire Danes, Kerry Washington, and Amy Poehler.
