Rihanna Casually Debuted Alexander Wang x H&M This Weekend

Ever since we learned about the Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration, we've been on the edge of our seats (and Instagram feeds) waiting for a preview. Aside from getting a peek of its sporty aesthetic here or there, we know little about the collection. But, in the spirit of NYFW, Wang finally gave the public what it wants — and, he asked his good friend Rihanna for a hand in the reveal.
Alexander Wang first confirmed his collaboration with H&M at Coachella with a cryptic Instagram video, and a party featuring Iggy Azalea and Major Lazer. How does one top an act like that? You get your pal Bad Gal RiRi to casually stroll down the streets of New York in between fashion shows, and the cameras will inevitably follow.
The leggings-and-crop-top matching set is reminiscent of our trusty winter long underwear (after a few spins in the dryer). But, Rihanna owns the tricky silhouette, much like she pulled off an electric blue bucket hat at Wang's spring '15 runway show. Her Alexander Wang x H&M ensemble is the ideal NYFW uniform: The comfort of leggings plus sensible sneakers make rushing between shows a breeze.
We still have to wait until long underwear season to partake in Alexander Wang x H&M. And, we're hoping RiRi will remain the unofficial spokesmodel for the collaboration. Her look proves that you don't have to wear Delpozo or Zimmermann to get noticed at NYFW. H&M does the trick — being Rihanna doesn't hurt, either.
