Why We Aren’t Showing You Matt Damon’s Ice Bucket Challenge

Everyone is talking about how Matt Damon did his ice bucket challenge using toilet water, but we aren’t going to show it to you. Don’t get us wrong: It’s great. Raising awareness for ALS as well as the drought in California and how millions of people worldwide don’t have access to clean water (for more on that, visit Damon’s charity cleanwater.org) is no less than what we'd expect from this hunky-yet-dadlike leading man.
But — and I think we speak for many of you here — enough with the ice bucket challenges! Is this what happens when there is no song of the summer? They are just turning into brand statements for celebrities, with Louis Tomlinson of One Direction doing his teenage millionaire stunt, and designer Tom Ford using an elegant leather vessel. Tilda Swinton will probably just live in an ice bucket for a year.

Are there even any celebrities left who haven’t done it? We’re kind of over the whole thing, aren’t you?
(But OK, if you are really dying to see Matt Damon’s version, it’s after the jump.)
