To mark today's news that American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on October 8, FX released the first teaser for the upcoming season.
Fans were in a tizzy earlier this year when this fake teaser popped up online and duped almost everybody (including us). That's why it is with great pleasure that we assure you this sneak peek is legit.
With that said, we'd really like to stress the word teaser here. Absolutely nothing is revealed in the 10-second clip, except the creepiest hand we've ever seen since, well... Okay, we actually just spent the last 45 minutes scanning the pop-culture rolodex that is our brain and even asked a few friends for help.

This is officially the creepiest hand in the history of film and television. That bodes well for AHS's fourth season, which follows a troupe of oddities as they descend on a sleepy Florida town. "This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience," reads the official description.
Series regulars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, and Angela Bassett all return.
