Southwest Airline Passengers Had The Ride Of Their Lives

Between tarmac delays and crying babies (hey, that's life!), perhaps one of the best things about traveling is finally reaching the destination. But, on a Southwest Airlines flight from New York to Chicago this past Monday, travelers had what might be considered the best ride of their lives.
The folks from SW teamed up with The Magnificent Mile Association, Macy's, and Factor Models to produce its first ever in-flight fashion show to help promote the Mag Mile Shopping Festival, taking place August 22 through September 1. And, yes, we were there to see it all go down.
About midway through the flight, the models stalked the catwalk, err, aisle sporting six fall-inspired looks from Macy's. As if that wasn't enough to to awake a plane full of snoozing passengers (aside from eye-opening Bloody Marys, that is), everyone on board was presented with a $100 gift card from Bloomingdale's to jump-start their shopping spree — definitely not a bad way to start the work week.

If you missed the in-flight experience, there are still a bevy of rad parties and activities associated with the festival to partake in. From pop-up shops to a culinary festival to discounts galore, there's never been a better excuse to get a start on your fall shopping. Click here for additional details on all of the events taking place for the fest.
