Miley Cyrus Might’ve Shown A Little Too Much Tongue This Time

On July Fourth weekend, two million people eschewed summer's favorite holiday to go inside and watch the Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour special. Three complained (actually four, but the other one was for her performance at the televised Macy's Fireworks) that the show compromised the ideals they were trying to celebrate. So, now there's a full-on FCC investigation happening.
Did the NBC special actually violate the FCC's rules against profanity and indecency? That's what is now being determined. What we do know is that the viewers who complained called the special "very graphic and disturbing," "quite lecherous," "impropriate [sic] for broadcast TV," and just plain "garbage."
The fourth complaint, which was for her performance during the fireworks, took umbrage with the singer dancing provocatively with Abraham Lincoln.
If it's determined that FCC regulations were breached, we're guessing some hefty fines will be doled out to NBC and, possibly, Cyrus herself. And, we assume a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade float in which Miley and a group of plushies reenact the first Thanksgiving is a no-go. (Hollywood Reporter)
