We get it. It's Saturday. You could be Tindering. You could be getting down with a boozy brunch. You could be under a blanket watching an '80s movie marathon. Taking the time to watch a totally inspiring interview sounds like a lot to ask.
That said, this Facebook Live chat between Sheryl Sandberg and teen hero/Nobel Peace Prize nominee/warrior for Pakistani women Malala Yousafzai is definitely worth your time. The 17-year-old fielded questions from Melinda Gates and Arianna Huffington about her fight for education, her efforts to raise awareness about the Nigerian schoolgirls captured by Boko Haram, and her handling of social media to empower young women. In other words, it's pretty inspiring stuff.
If you didn't already admire this girl for surviving being shot by the Taliban and staring down those who would deny her a proper education, you will now. When Sheryl "Lean In" Sandberg calls you a personal hero, you must be doing something right, no?
Watch the video below to get Yousafzai's thoughts on the importance of youths taking action. What else have you got to do today?
