August is finally here and with that, we’re back with This Is Our Jam, a midweek mix of our favorite recent tracks. We’re kicking things off with a lovely indie-pop premiere from Emilyn Brodsky, followed by a sexy dance gem from The Soundmen, and a gorgeous acoustic track from Young Rising Sons. Then, it’s an art-pop track from iamamiwhoami and finally, a unique electropop song from Ryn Weaver.
Emilyn Brodsky
“Someone Belongs Here”
Emilyn Brodsky’s ethereal voice is back and we’re loving it. We’re so excited about this premiere — and have been obsessed with this song since she performed it on the latest season of Girls. We’re digging how it’s a bit of an homage to ‘60s girl-group sounds and She & Him. You’ll be able to catch more of Brodsky’s tracks when her record Emilyn Brodsky Eats Her Feelings comes out in September.

“Tap Your Glass”
iamamiwhoami’s new song and video for “Tap Your Glass” is pure oceanic art. We’re obsessed with the visuals as much as we are the electro beats. All we can say is that with this track and video being pure audio-visual gold, we can’t wait for Jonna Lee’s upcoming record, Blue, due this fall.
