Every relationship has exciting milestones. First date. First kiss. Changing your Facebook status. Moving in together. Opening a joint bank account (fiscal responsibility is sexy). Adopting a horse. Sharing your Netflix password. Meeting the parents. Waiting for the other person to binge-watch Orange Is the New Black.
Oh, did you and your partner not adopt a horse? Well, different gallops for different folks, as they say. Although they haven't publicly confirmed that they are, in fact, a couple, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed just DTR'ed in the most unique way we've ever seen.

Switching to pronouns like "we" and "our" to connote shared experiences, opinions, and property is one of the more subtle relationship milestones. Adopting a horse, on the other hand, would have to be one of the more grandiose ones.
Their mutual love of animals could be what brought the two together, along with their healthy lifestyles (going to the farmer's market in workout clothes after being snapped jogging, check). Sharing a pet is pretty high on the commitment scale, although equine ownership is certainly not a milestone every relationship will attain. If it feels right for Ian and Nikki right now, then this could be the start of a beautiful, stable relationship. We'll see ourselves out for that horse pun. (New York Daily News)
