Among them: Benedict Cumberbatch and an oversized penguin. So, naturally, the two posed for photos on the red (brown?) carpet, resulting in the best buddy-comedy pic we've seen in a long while.
Yesterday marked Cumberbatch's very first Comic-Con appearance. (He's not the only one: Matthew McConaughey and Christopher Nolan also made their Comic-Con debuts.) While there, Cumberbatch attended a Dreamworks Animation panel to promote his new movie, Penguins of Madagascar. The animated film, however, was quickly eclipsed by Sherlock-mania, courtesy of Cumberbatch's TV fans.
But, in the words of Entertainment Weekly, "None of that is actually necessary to appreciate the simplicity of this photo. It’s Benedict Cumberbatch with a penguin, and that’s pretty much everything you need to know."
