Photo: Ali Goldstein for Netflix.Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black is officially down a flavor saver. Pablo Schreiber, who plays corrections officer George "Pornstache" Mendez, has confirmed he won't be returning for the next era of the Litchfield saga.
Pornstache already had an abbreviated arc on season 2 of OITNB because of Schreiber's role in the Ironside remake. The NBC show was canceled after only three episodes. Pablo landed on his feet, though, and is moving on to bigger and better things. Officer Mendez won't appear in season 3 of the Netflix gem at all because Schreiber has a lead role in a new half-hour comedy called The Brink on HBO.
"The role I have on The Brink is a starring role, and it's a no brainer, Pablo tells the New York Post. "Absolutely, I chose to jump on board with that show. It was a better move for me as an actor."
At press time, it is unconfirmed if his pornstache will also jump on board The Brink. (New York Post)
