Please, oh please, don't let this be another one of Lauren Conrad's hair-color pranks. (We still haven't recovered from her April Fool's fake purple locks.) She just revealed a new platinum 'do on Instagram, and it's stunning. It's that Jessica Simpson-bridal color we've been obsessing over recently: Just slightly darker than white blonde, it has warm tones to add depth and cool tones to make it look edgy. We're hereby in complete hair-envy mode.
So, the question: Did she dye it because Allure called her "basic"? Because, truly, this is as anti-"basic" as blonde can get while still remaining blonde. As Allure also noted, "basic" women tend to wear their hair blown out or in "sausage curls," so stay tuned to see if Conrad changes up her texture, too. Maybe she'll even get a baby bob — hey, a girl can dream. We're sure she'll continue to look great, either way.
