We’re trying to fit in as many summer singles as possible (since we’re halfway through, can you believe it?) in this edition of This Is Our Jam, a midweek mix of our favorite recent tracks. We’re totally taken by this vibrant premiere from Ballet School, followed by BANKS’ most upbeat track yet, and a catchy dance-pop gem from Aussie group Miami Horror. Next up is pop goddess Chelsea Lankes with another song we can’t stop listening to, and, finally, we’re chilling things out with some melodic ‘60s-rock sounds courtesy of Alvvays.

Ballet School
"Lux"
Berlin-based trio Ballet School combines breathy vocals and trance-y '80s-inspired melodies in "Lux" — a track we're really excited to premiere. The band is about to release its debut LP of lush pop/rock music in early September. We can't wait to hear the eclectic mix of influences the band has brought together when the full-length comes out.

BANKS
“Beggin For A Thread”
Our love for soulful pop goddess BANKS has only grown with each of her releases, and this track is no different. “Beggin For A Thread” is another hypnotic gem from the California songstress, though this one is notably more upbeat than her previous releases.

Miami Horror
“Wild Motion (Set It Free)”
If the idea of dancing in a spaceship is your jam, then you will love this track from Australian indie-electronica group Miami Horror. We are obsessed with the song’s positive vibes and electropop beats. Looking for something to rock out to? This is it.

Chelsea Lankes
“Secret”
Newcomer Chelsea Lankes just released her second single, “Secret,” a catchy electropop song that we've been playing on repeat (and we were already way into last year’s hit "Ghost"). The song screams steamy summer romance. It looks like the secret’s out about this talented songstress.

Alvvays
“Archie, Marry Me”
The surf-rock nostalgic sounds from Toronto indie poppers Alvvays have gotten us into the summer spirit with “Archie Marry Me” — a song that parallels Camera Obscura’s “Lloyd I’m Ready To Be Heartbroken.” The band just released its debut album yesterday, and we’re already hooked.
