While visiting EW Radio, Neil Patrick Harris talked about that one time he wrote Murphy asking to join the cast of the upcoming fourth season of AHS: Freak Show.
"I wrote a letter to Ryan asking if I could be in it. Even though I wasn't even available to be in it. And, he didn't respond," Harris said. Maybe the letter got lost in a déluge of fan mail. Maybe Murphy thought someone was yanking his chain, pretending to be Harris (can't say it hasn't happened before...). Either way, when Murphy heard about NPH's request, he put on his genie cap and granted the Hedwig actor's wish — via Twitter, of course.

Fingers-crossed filming continues into September, since Harris would make a fine freak. We mean that as the highest compliment. (Vulture)
