Homeland Is Back With This Gripping New Trailer

Just as we were getting ready to power down and imbibe on a sun-drenched rooftop, Showtime went ahead and extended our Friday. Luckily for them, we ain't mad. That's because the reason for our prolonged work week is the sudden release of the first trailer for season four of Homeland.
Why Showtime decided to drop such a bomb during a time when news is typically buried beats us. But, we're glad they did. Now we get to go to our parties tonight and be the only ones who have seen Carrie Mathison back in action after last season's (spoiler alert!) killing of Nicholas Brody.

Based on the first footage, it looks like the series is doing a complete reboot. That's probably a good thing, considering both fans and critics accused the show of jumping the shark after the groundbreaking first season. Now that the Brodys are out of the picture, Carrie and Saul can go back to doing what they do best: spying.
The majority of the season takes place in Pakistan and Afghanistan and features the return of Rupert Friend and F. Murray Abraham, as well as newcomers Corey Stoll, Suraj Sharma, Laila Robins, and Michael O’Keefe.
The fourth season of Homeland premieres on Sunday, October 5. Check out the first look below.
