He realized there was a real gap in the market for stoned people who wanted to talk to other stoned people — those who use their paper not for writing, but for rollin' doobies. So, he invented PuffPuffChat.
The site randomly pairs users through text or video chats. No names, just rank how high you are on a scale of zero to 10. So, theoretically, you could also just use the site completely sober. In fact, Eric, 22, encourages you to do just that. “Non-smokers are very welcome to the site, too, whether just to have a good chat or to experience the anthropological thrill of seeing stoners in their natural habitat," he explained to the Daily Dot.
"I love having high conversations with my friends, and I thought a website that provides a similar experience with random Internet people would be a lot of fun," he said. And, it looks like he was really onto something, because PPC has hosted tens of thousands of conversations in its first two months, man. And, as The Daily Dot noted, the forum is devoid of the negative qualities that have typically haunted platforms like Chatroulette — namely, unsolicited naked pictures and prostitution.
The only criticism from users so far is that they can't locate people they've had insightful conversations with after they close out of the chat room. Fear not, weary toker: Reddit has created a PPC missed connections section to resolve this issue. (Daily Dot)
