Remember earlier this year when Kanye West listened to a young fan freestyle for him on the streets of Manhattan? One got the sense that West saw something of himself in the aspiring rapper. Perhaps he recalled what it was like to come up in the game, dying for a chance to show someone — anyone! — his skills.
Well, thanks to a newly surfaced video, we get to see just what kind of skills West was working with when he was a teenager. And, we believe said skills would qualify as "mad."
West was only 19 when the video was filmed, but the ferocity and wordplay that have become his trademarks are apparent. Plus, it's wild to hear the rhymes of a talented kid who has no idea he that he'll grow up to become one of the biggest stars on the planet.
