But, today's announcement about the multi-city promotional tour for Not That Kind Of Girl has us even more jazzed for the book's release. Every reading of Dunham's memoir will also include a special guest in the conversation. Think: Curtis Sittenfeld, Mary Karr, Carrie Brownstein, Zadie Smith, Amy Schumer — y'know, the usual.
On top of that, Dunham is currently calling out for "opening acts!" Check out her official site and submit a video doing whatever it is you're good at (dramaturgy, Tibetan throat singing, the 64th level of Candy Crush Saga) and you could be chosen to open for Ms. D at one of the eleven stops she's making this fall. The tour also promises to bring you more info on "organizations close to Lena's heart, including a special partnership with Planned Parenthood."
