DKNY Debuts A Ramadan Collection, & It’s Pretty Darn Beautiful

For anyone who's ever attended any religious ceremony of any denomination, there's generally one style rule that applies: keep it PG — shoulders covered, hems longer — as a sign of respect. And, Ramadan is no exception. So, with this in mind and in honor one of the most sacred times of year for those of Islamic faith, DKNY has launched a collection to celebrate the month-long holiday.
Beautiful, bold-colored maxi dresses and cool, sportswear-inspired separates round out the line. It's the DKNY you know already, but with modesty in mind. Even better, stylist Yalda Golsharifi and designer Tamara Al Gabbani — both observers of Ramadan — styled the lookbook and shared their own personal holiday favorites for the brand's site.
While the 12-look lineup is only available in stores in the Middle East, we've got a peek of them just ahead. Kudos to DKNY for marrying tradition and modern style in a smart, sophisticated, and really beautiful way.
