It feels like not too long ago that Jennifer Lawrence was the wide-eyed Kentucky teenager whose heroic turn in Winter's Bone made her one of Hollywood's most promising young stars. Still, that was five years ago. An Oscar win, three nominations, and two major blockbuster franchises later, and Lawrence has lived up to that promise and then some.
At just 23, Lawrence ranks number 12 on the list, ahead of her far more established colleagues like Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock. The plucky young actress has managed to find a string of high profile roles, that have made her one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood, female or otherwise. In fact, Lawrence easily outranked male counterparts like Bradley Cooper and Hugh Jackman. The only fellow actor to rank higher than her was Robert Downey Jr.
