"I would want Selena Gomez to play me in a movie," the American Idol judge told Newsday. "She is a cutie."
The choice makes sense. Gomez was named after the late Tejano singer Selena, who Lopez played in her breakout role. Both women are Latinas, and the 21-year-old former Disney actress' "Stars Dance" track was originally earmarked for Lopez.
Considering that the onetime Fly Girl is still alive, still making albums, and still shaking her famous derriere, a biopic may be a long way off. Can these two just work out some sort of collaboration in the meantime? That will also give producers plenty of time to find the perfect mini Pitbull. (Newsday)
