It looks like Lupita Nyong'o is going to be pretty good at this whole fame thing. Fresh off the heels of her Oscar win, the breakout star is still adjusting to life in the limelight. While she's obviously been enjoying the many perks that come along with being a Hollywood It Girl, Nyong'o has also come to terms with its drawbacks. Chief among them are the pesky paparazzi, who snapped the 31-year-old actress frolicking in a bikini on a Hawaii beach. According to Nyong'o, it was one of her first real encounters with the invasive shutterbugs, and she handled it in stride.
Nyong'o took to Instagram to make light of the situation and posted a photo of herself in the bikini along with a paparazzi snapping her picture. "The paparazzi: they got me good!!! #FirstPapStakeOut #ZoomLensesSuitableForHorrorFilms" read the caption.
Nyong'o is in Hawaii to attend the Maui Film Festival, where she'll be receiving an award for her work in 12 Years a Slave. It's been a whirlwind year for the ingenue, and it's about to get even wilder, as she begins shooting Star Wars: Episode 7 this summer.
As her star continues to grow, here's hoping Nyong'o's paparazzi troll game stays tight. (The Gloss)
