Nate Berkus Ties The Knot At The NY Public Library

Designer and TV host Nate Berkus wed Jeremiah Brent at the New York Public Library in the first same-sex wedding officiated in the building. The couple stayed true to its down-to-earth-slash-fashion-forward rep with Berkus wearing J.Crew while Brent donned Saint Laurent. No newbie to the challenges of designing within budget, Nate used linens and tableware from his own line for Target. (Too bad we can't all copy that bottom-line saving trick.) The color palette was a sophisticated mix of black and white with gold accents and lots of greenery.
While we were a little miffed to not get our invite, we understand that Oprah has been friends with Nate slightly longer. (Or, not just in her imagination.) Other pals on the star-laden guest list of 220 were Rachael Ray, Katie Lee, and Rebecca Minkoff, who are all lifestyle experts in their own right. And they're probably the only people on the planet comfortable enough to shop off Berkus and Brent's registry — imagine the pressure! (ABC News)
