Though Bob Dylan's "Just Like A Woman" begins with a scene where no one feels any pain, we doubt it felt quite as numb at L'Wren Scott's memorial service yesterday.

Following a private funeral in Los Angeles in March, celebrities and loved ones attended a memorial service for L'Wren Scott yesterday in New York. The ceremony, held at St. Bartholomew's Church in Manhattan,
included major attendees from the film and music industries, speaking to the ways Scott influenced more than just the fashion world. Mick Jagger, Ellen Barkin, André Leon Talley, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julianna Moore, Meg Ryan, Olivia Munn, Renée Zellweger, Anna Wintour, Martin Scorsese, Baz Luhrmann, and Graydon Carter were all in attendance, People reports. The Daily Mail shows a video of several arrivals of celebrities — all of whom look supremely styled for such a somber event.

To honor Scott, Jagger sang a rendition of "Just Like A Woman," according to his publicist Vicki Scarfone. An Instagram of the service's program shows Barkin, Talley, Parker, Cathy Horyn, and Rachel Feinstein also gave special words of tribute. James Jagger also read Lord Byron's "She Walks In Beauty." It seems the late designer had a beautiful, heartfelt farewell and now, family and friends can begin to heal. Though Fashion Week is still several months away, we imagine the industry may never be the same without her. (People)
