It’s time to whip out the champagne and fancy shades, because the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic is right around the corner. And, this year, one lucky R29 reader will win two tickets to the historically fashionable happening, known as much for the style displayed on and off the polo field as for the sport. Last year's guest list included Matthew McConaughey, Ashley Olsen, and Rebecca Minkoff — just to name a few — so, this event is the way to welcome summer.
The Polo Classic takes place on Saturday, May 31, but tickets are up for grabs this Wednesday (in case you don't win big here). While it’s Clicquot’s third year at Liberty State Park, this is the first year Early Access tickets are available. General admission (at $65) may get you into the park, but the premium tickets — going for the slightly higher price of $125 — will secure you access on the first ferry or shuttle to Jersey City, a sweet pair of sunglasses, an umbrella, and priority seating on the field.
But, the day isn't all about fun, excess, and libations. This year, the event teamed up with City Harvest, the world's first food-rescue organization and the Classic's beneficiary. Now, it's your turn to get in on the action: Enter to win by describing your ideal polo look in the comments below. Or, for guaranteed admission, purchase a ticket. Either way, get to shopping for that perfect hat-dress-shoes combo.
