Who? Kelis, the self-proclaimed "first girl to scream on the track."
How long has she been around? Kelis has been on our radar since 1999 when she sang the hook of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s "Got Your Money." But, you most likely know her as the chick with the milkshake that brings all the boys to the yard.
What does she sound like? Kelis has tried on many different hats ranging from synth R&B, regular ol' hip-hop, to the futuristic sounds of her last release, Flesh Tone. Food promises a retro vibe packaged in a pretty, contemporary dance beat.
When should you listen to her? Not to go too hard on the Food theme, but "Friday Fish Fry" was made for summer nights and grilling.
