Excuse us for a minute as we thank our lucky stars. It seems that somebody up there in the movie universe has finally answered our prayers. According to Deadline, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to star in a movie together — finally! It may seem like the two pals are constantly working together, what with their Golden Globes spree, but it's actually been six long years since they brought us Baby Mama.
The new flick is titled The Nest, and would see Fey and Poehler as sisters who come home to find their parents' house up for sale. Hijinks are sure to ensue as the pair spends the weekend in (and clinging to?) their childhood home. Tina is already locked down for her part, and word on the street is Amy is in final talks with Universal.
This film has box-office potential that goes beyond just the comedy dream duo. Fey is producing the project, it was written by Saturday Night Live alum Paula Pell, and it's going to be directed by Pitch Perfect mastermind Jason Moore. Is it too early to buy tickets? (Deadline)
