Photo: Jim Smeal/BEImages.West Hollywood, meet your new neighbor: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Later this year, the cable channel will set up shop at The Lot, an office space and studio off of Santa Monica Boulevard.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, OWN's new headquarters will have access to the property's screening rooms and sound stages — a major incentive for the move from the office's current Miracle Mile location. OWN president Erik Logan told THR, "Sheri [Salata, co-president of OWN] and I, along with Oprah, love the idea of having a rich, stimulating creative environment to work in."
The news comes hot on the heels of Oprah's sale of Harpo Studios in Chicago for $32 million — which is more than enough cash to decorate the new digs, no? (The Hollywood Reporter)
