The Walking Dead: The Zombie Drama That Will Eat You Alive

Full disclosure: We love TV. So much so that sometimes we'd rather spend a whole weekend in front of the tube than dancing at da club until 3 a.m. The lack of any kind of television service holding you back from feeling our joy? No problem! You can get by just fine on Netflix, Hulu, and the myriad other streaming services rapidly taking over the home entertainment industry (thank you, Internet!).

Some shows are just better when binge-watched. Whether it's the latest BBC comedy, a PBS miniseries from the '70s, or just that cultish show prematurely scrubbed from a network — we're hooked on the stream. So, we're unrolling Staying In(stant), a new feature highlighting the best of streaming content. Each week, we bring you a show we're obsessed with and think you should be, too.
This week? The Walking Dead — the zombie drama of your dreams. And, if you didn't previously dream of a zombie drama, you now will.
Where To Watch: Netflix, in any room but your bedroom, because you should sleep in a room that doesn't evoke zombie memories.
How I Got Hooked:
About a month ago, I moved into a new apartment with a roommate-stranger I found on Craigslist. As with any new friend, there's a certain bonding time frame. So, during our first night of living together, he asked if I'd like to join him in watching that evening's episode of The Walking Dead. In the spirit of friendship, I agreed and took a seat on the couch.
That was the beginning of an obsession. One episode, in the middle of the fourth season, in which I couldn't totally tell what was going on, was all it took for me to get hooked. He happened to own the first season of the show, and was kind enough to leave it out on the coffee table for me. Suddenly, I was running home after work to watch the series from the very beginning. One day, he came home to find me like this. He created a monster.

Thankfully, the seasons are all on Netflix, so catching up with the entire series won't be a problem. But, I'm still working through season three, so no spoilers, please.
Best Episode:
The season two finale.
Why You'll Love It:
Norman Reedus.
