This News Story Has Us Terrified Of Manicures

A lot of women go to the nail salon to relax and unwind. You ease back into the chair, put your feet up, forget your troubles... We now interrupt that moment of zen because a recent article in HuffPost Style has us kind of freaked out. Evidently, gel manicures are trying to kill us.
We won't spoil all the details, but head over there and check it out. A lot of the tips and advice (like taking your own manicure tools with you) are solid, especially for those of us who get regular manis. Even though the concerns about UV lights and the gel formulas (which can allegedly cause nerve damage if it gets into a nick) are specific to those procedures, the piece raises questions about how safe our regular manicure practices really are.
