Big hair, don't care! If your knowledge of the late James Brown is limited to pompadours, capes, and Eddie Murphy parodies, prepare to get schooled by the first trailer for Get On Up. Produced in part by Mick Jagger, this musical biopic delves deep into the Godfather of Soul's personal history — troubled childhood, jail time, superstardom, and all. If you liked Ray or Walk The Line, you'll probably dig this.
Chadwick Boseman of 42 fame plays the music legend, rocking ceiling-scrapping wigs, tracksuits, and capes throughout the film. Keep an eye out for Dan Aykroyd, while Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer reunite in this latest effort to team up with The Help director Tate Taylor. Oh, and prepare to alternate from reaching for your hankie to busting a move to "I Feel Good." Emotional rollercoaster, indeed.
