Fruits and vegetables are good for you. Everyone should eat fruits and vegetables. Old news, we know! But, a recent article from The Huffington Post sheds some interesting light on exactly how we should be consuming these healthful treats. Turns out that we're not taking full advantage of some of the most beneficial parts of this fruitful food group (zing!).
For example, HuffPost reminds you to eat the skin on baked potatoes, which are filled with "B vitamins, vitamin C, iron, calcium, and potassium, among other nutrients." (To be clear, we're not talking about your favorite pub's cheese-coated potato skins.) This writer cannot be the only person on this planet who has only ever carefully carved the flesh out of its thin baked-potato shell. But, it turns out the skin is the most nutritious part of the delicious spud.
