The Ponytail Is Back, But Not How You’d Think

We love a good runway trend that elevates a basic, easy hairstyle. And, this season it looks like the catwalk style du jour is the humble ponytail. After that slice of adorned-mane magic from yesterday's Chanel presentation, today PFW brings us a high-fashion bubble pony, as seen at Valentino.
Inspired by hair from the '60s and '70s, Redken creative consultant Guido Palau crafted a sleek-but-playful look by applying Guts 10 Root Targeted Volume Spray Foam to the models' damp hair before blowing it bone straight, then creating a center part between the brows and pulling it all back into a low pony that covered the ears. He then placed thin, black elastics every two to three inches down the ponytail and spread the hair out between the elastics with his fingers to get the puffed pony before sealing it with fluffy clouds of Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.

Gals, this is as easy as it gets on the style upgrades front. Head to your local drugstore and grab a multipack of elastics for about $4 and get crafty.
Do you love this long, banded ponytail, or does this style have a short shelf life? Comment away below. Let's discuss.
