Paris Hilton Loves “Getting Paid A Lot Of Money” To DJ

Calvin Harris. Swedish House Mafia. And, um, Paris Hilton? Believe it or not, the hotel heiress has emerged as one of the world's most prolific (if not unlikeliest) DJs, hosting a residency in Ibiza last summer and spinning everywhere from Dubai to Siberia. Naturally, that's earned her a photo spread in V Magazine's Music Issue.
Modeling everything from a sheer Eres bra (NSFW!) to a Roberto Cavalli fur stole to her signature Chanel fingerless gloves in pink leather, Hilton opens up about her role in the music industry. "I am a businesswoman, and this is just a small part of what I do," she tells New York DJ Emily Gruca. "I love music and I love partying, so it’s a fun job for me.”
"Fun" is a word the blonde beauty uses a lot, whether she's talking about DJing in Macau for charity, or describing her new album. If her 2006 single, "Stars Are Blind," left you cold, take heart. This time she's got some major collaborators in the mix. "My friends Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, and more [are collaborating]," she says. "It’s a fun album that will put you in a good mood and make you want to dance!"
Okay, so it may be hard to take a DJ who calls wearing Chanel gloves and dressing "like I came off a fashion runway" her secret weapon that seriously. Ask Hilton if she cares. "There are always going to be haters in life," she tells the magazine. "I don’t pay attention to those people. I’m doing what I love and selling out shows all around the world, and I’m getting paid a lot of money to do it. I’m passionate and I work hard to keep bettering my music, my sets, and myself. That’s what really matters." (V Magazine)
