We're always amazed at the painstaking effort the folks over at Rolling Stone put forth to bring us the most comprehensive music lists on the entire Interweb. And, it looks like they've done it again.
To commemorate their new Nirvana-centric issue, the rock bible has ranked each and every one of the band's songs, from worst to first. That includes every B-side, bonus track, officially released cover, bootlegger-traded original, home demo, Peel Session, and 4-track experiment they could find. As you may or may not know, the grunge disciples from Seattle only released four official albums, but their catalog runs much, much deeper.
Not only did the mag list pretty much every song Kurt Cobain ever penned, it also excavated illuminating facts, tidbits, and quotes from those on the inside, for every single one. It's a truly impressive piece of music journalism and we're happy to share it with you here. Now, if you're able to guess the song Rolling stone chose as number one, you get a prize. Unfortunately, we ran out of said prize because the number one song is "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and everyone who read this article before you guessed that. Better luck next time? (Rolling Stone)
