Kim Kardashian was spotted in this head-to-toe off-white ensemble today while out in New York City. And, at first glance, all the elements of style add up: the neutral color, the non-fussy silhouette, the lack of anything seemingly statement-making, a slightly oversized fit, and a slicked 'do. But, we'll argue that her look isn't quite the epitome of simplicity just yet.
While it's possible Kim may be serving straight-up Nü Woman, her mix of shiny fabrics — both her neck-tied blouse and high-waisted, super-slim trousers — remind us more of Liberace off duty in a pair of silky jammies and a regal robe. So, no, perhaps Kim isn't exactly the poster child of minimal style. But, she may be one of sartorial exploration. Would you ever expect to see her in this circa '07 Keeping Up with the Kardashians? Not a chance.
