After two minutes of watching models take selfies, we think we've figured out the secret to snapping the best one: Be a model. And, if you're one of W magazine's new guard of supermodels, that doesn't hurt either. The publication has named 10 ladies who are not the modern-day Christys, Naomis, and Lindas. Instead, they are the Karlies, Jourdans, and Candices of this generation — after all, we're sure you're already on a first-name basis.
But, even though the feature is recognizing these women as the model powerhouses they are, the real golden nuggets of wisdom lie within the DIY photo shoot. As in, the one that occurs on your cell phone. We won't sugarcoat: Taking selfie advice from models is like taking batting advice from a World Series slugger. The tips are solid, the examples are helpful, but when it comes down to it, we're still playing in the minor leagues.
