Well, that was short-lived. We've got some bummer news for Michael J. Fox fans this morning. The actor's comedy show was pulled from NBC's lineup after only 15 episodes. Its Thursday night spot will be replaced by Hollywood Game Night, according to Entertainment Weekly. Execs at the network haven't officially announced that the show is cancelled, and there's no word yet about if or when the rest of the first season will air.
The Michael J. Fox struggled from the very beginning, and an NBC chairman described it as facing an "uphill battle" earlier this season. While we can't argue with ratings, we have to say we're majorly bummed that things didn't work out for the actor. Fox is one of the most beloved members of Hollywood, and we really wanted his show to succeed. Of course, since he is such a media darling, we don't doubt that he'll be able to find other projects to keep him busy. We're pulling for you, Mike! (Entertainment Weekly)
