Our New Favorite Liner Look: The Reverse Cat-Eye

It's the second day of Fashion Week and already our minds are racing from all the new makeup inspiration. Whether we'll actually wear it, though, is always up for debate. Case in point: Nicholas K's fall/winter showcase featured a heavy, precisely drawn cat-eye. Of course, it wasn't your average cat-eye — it was flipped. An upside-down cat-eye, if you will.
Usually, when we see heavy black lines on lower lids, those lines are smudged out to create a smoky effect. Not so with this one: It's as precise as the winged-out line of a regular cat-eye. Avon global celebrity makeup artist Lauren Andersen used Avon's SuperShock Gel Eyeliner Pencil to get that bold, crisp line. The models also wore false lashes on their lower lash lines, solidifying the mirror-image effect. Combined with a nude lip, this was a super-modern take on grungy punk beauty.

Also, can we talk about that awesome asymmetrical bob? It's so funny how the haircuts we've accidentally given ourselves in the bathroom with kitchen scissors show up on the runway 10 years later. Not to knock it — just sayin'. It looks pretty homegrown.
What do you all think? Is the reverse cat-eye going to have a place in your routine come fall, or will you stick to what you already know?
