If you're a fan of Tavi Gevinson, then you probably already own copies of her two "yearbooks" named after her blog- turned-online magazine. The books are a collection of amazing interviews, photo spreads, illustrations, and articles from Rookie's first two years. There's even a few fun surprises like stickers designed by Rookie illustrators and a flexidisc of tunes. But, you didn't really think this bright, young go-getter would stop at two, did you? According to the Los Angeles Times, Gevinson just scored another book deal with Razorbill (part of Penguin Random House) for Yearbooks three and four.
The new editions will include the same retrospective content, with exclusive content from bigwig contributors. "One thing I'm very proud of is that Rookie has a lot of legitimacy in publishing and music journalism and fashion," Gevinson told the Times. "As it's grown, the goal has become more to make people feel included, that they're cool enough or smart enough."
While the release date for the new books has yet to be announced, there are plenty of places to get your Gevinson fix, including this fabulous recent interview from the Times. (Los Angeles Times)
